From the founder

I'm Varun. ASTRA is what I wish I'd had for the last 18 years.

This is not a résumé. It is the story behind why the product exists — the one I would tell you if we were sitting across a table with coffee going cold.

The work

I started in field sales at Mahindra Satyam, carrying a bag, knocking on doors, and learning that the best deck in the world means nothing if you cannot read the room before you open your laptop.

At CompTIA I built partner networks and watched what happens when a small, focused team runs a clean pipeline: deals compress, relationships compound, and the quarter stops being a fire drill. I grew revenue from a small base into the region’s fastest-moving partner business across South Asia and into neighbouring APAC markets, and learned that partner success is really just sales success at one degree of separation.

At PeopleCert, I ran Academic Partnerships across APAC. In under two years I onboarded more than 40 universities, institutional collaborators, resellers and strategic alliances across India, Southeast Asia, ANZ, China and Korea. We built a pipeline that grew fast and stayed clean, and launched four new certifications in 90 days. I loved the complexity — time zones, procurement committees, faculty scepticism, long sales cycles — because it forced every conversation to be precise.

What I learned about operators

Founders, sales reps and small marketing teams are not short of tools. They are drowning in them. A CRM here. A scheduler there. Five AI writing apps, a spreadsheet no one owns, a WhatsApp thread that holds half the relationship history, and a notebook that holds the other half.

The real gap is not more AI. It is one loop that already knows your voice, remembers your leads, and tells you the next best move without asking you to start from a blank prompt every morning.

That is the gap ASTRA is built to close.

The reset

Twice in my career I delivered numbers that kept rising — and still watched the role end. The first time, I told myself it was an exception. The second time, I realised it was a pattern I needed to understand rather than fight.

At a point when almost everyone I counted on stepped back, ASTRA became the thing I still showed up for. Not because it was easy. Because it was mine to build.

That is why the product is obsessed with outcomes instead of activity. I have no patience for tools that celebrate busywork. I care about whether the pipeline moved this week.

Why ASTRA

ASTRA is the discipline of 18 years compressed into a weekly loop anyone can run. Commit a lead. Let it queue by your review day. Get nudged before you forget. Walk into every review with a scoreboard instead of a scramble.

I believe in ASTRA because it is the one thing I can build from zero that no one can take away. Every line of code, every prompt, every review loop is proof that the next chapter is still under my control.

I am building it mostly at night, usually with a puppy named Mafia asleep on the desk. The name is ridiculous, but the routine is not. It is the only pace that makes sense right now.

Try it, or tell me what you need

If you are a founder, a rep, or a small team running revenue without a big marketing department, ASTRA is being built for you first.

Varun Sud

I believe in ASTRA because it is mine to build — and because it is built for people who still show up.
